IFS Therapy in Stroud
Stroud and the surrounding Gloucestershire valleys attract people who value depth, authenticity, and a different way of living. If you're looking for therapy that matches that — something that goes beyond symptom management and works at the level of genuine change — Internal Family Systems therapy may be exactly what you need.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a deeply effective, evidence-based approach that works by helping you understand and relate differently to the various parts of yourself. Rather than fighting your inner critic, numbing difficult feelings, or pushing through — IFS gets to the root, with curiosity and without judgment.
Who I work with
I work with individuals who are ready to do meaningful inner work. Many of my Stroud clients have tried other approaches and are looking for something with more depth — something that makes sense of not just what they're struggling with, but why, and what might actually shift it.
I work with a wide range of difficulties including addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and relationship patterns that keep repeating. I also bring a relational dimension to the work, informed by Relational Life Therapy (RLT), which is particularly valuable for those navigating difficulty in their closest relationships alongside their own inner world.
What to expect
Sessions take place at Chedworth House, Lansdown, in the centre of Stroud — a calm, confidential space that is easily accessible from across the Five Valleys and the wider Gloucestershire area, including Cirencester, Cheltenham, and Nailsworth.
IFS is collaborative, experiential, and grounded in neuroscience. It is not about advice or analysis — it is about helping you access your own innate capacity for healing and Self-leadership. Most people find it unlike any therapy they've tried before.
I bring over 25 years of clinical experience to this work, with particular depth in addiction, trauma, and relational issues. Sessions are also available online via Zoom for those who prefer to work from home.
