Online IFS Therapy

Sometimes the most important thing is simply being able to talk to someone wherever you are, whenever you're ready, without the added complication of a commute or a waiting room.

Online therapy has changed what's possible for many people. It has made serious, depth-oriented therapeutic work accessible to those who might never have sought it otherwise whether because of geography, a busy life, physical health, caring responsibilities, or simply a preference for the privacy and comfort of their own space.

I offer online therapy via Zoom to individuals across the UK and internationally. The work I do online is the same work I do in person — Internal Family Systems therapy, informed by Relational Life Therapy, with the same depth, the same care, and the same commitment to getting to what actually matters.

Who online therapy works well for

Online therapy suits a wide range of people and circumstances. You might be:

  • Based outside London or Gloucestershire and looking for an experienced IFS therapist

  • Someone with a busy schedule for whom a fixed in-person appointment is difficult to maintain

  • A person who finds the familiarity of their own environment helpful for doing deeper inner work

  • Someone who values the additional layer of privacy that working from home provides

  • Living or working abroad and wanting to continue therapeutic work in English with an experienced UK therapist.

Whatever brings you to online therapy, the research is clear when the therapeutic relationship is good, online work is as effective as in-person therapy for most presentations.

What we work with

Online sessions are available for the full range of what I work with in person, including anxiety and depression, addiction and compulsive behaviour, trauma and CPTSD, low self-worth and the inner critic, relationship and family difficulties, and the sense difficult to name but impossible to ignore that something essential is missing from life.

IFS is particularly well suited to online work. Much of what happens in an IFS session is interior turning attention inward, developing a relationship with parts, accessing the calm and curious quality of Self. This inner landscape travels well. Many clients find that working from their own home actually deepens their ability to go inward, away from the subtle performance that can sometimes accompany sitting in someone else's room.

What to expect practically

Sessions take place via Zoom and last fifty minutes. All you need is a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera, and a private space where you won't be disturbed. Beyond that, the practical requirements are minimal. The work itself is what matters.

Getting started

If you'd like to explore whether online therapy might be right for you, the first step is simply a conversation. I offer an initial exploratory session so you can get a sense of the work and whether it feels like a good fit no obligation, no pressure.
